Schubert wrote over twenty works in 1824 including several major, extensive compositions such as the Octet, the a minor (Rosamunde) and d minor (Death and the Maiden) string quartets, the Arpeggione Sonata and the flute variations on Trockne Blumen. This program explores a year of surging creativity for Schubert.
